Big cuts in the christmas bonus of Hamburgs authorities, small 50 mn cuts for the massively subventioned over 300 public owned companies of the HGV are mayor von Beusts primary instruments of fighting the massive structural damages of Hamburgs annual budget!
Over 500 mn Euros a year will have to be reduced, the mayors statement accounts for half of that amount, the question where the rest will be reduced remains the secret of the CDU and Green big taxmoney players from the senate.
As the mayor talked signs for the three digit million Euro projects IBA and IGS of Hamburgs green city senator Hajduk were mounted at the entrance of town hall.
The reason for Hamburgs massive losses are not the HSH Nordbank, Hapag Lloyd, the HGV or the financial wizards and close friends Freytag and Peiner.
In the view of the mayor the economic world crisis, Greece and the softening of the Euro are the main reason that Hamburgs citizens now have to face the facts...he´s willing to face the challenge!

This is an uncontrolled trek into a state of poverty! Peiner and Freytag did not fake the balances behind the mayors back, he was a part of these decisions and has to face the consequences!
Who in this city lived way above their means?
Elbphilharmonie, HCU, Baubehörde and Messe constructions, U4 one way street, LBK Pensions for the city - the hospitals and an extra 108 mn for the privat medicine franchise Asklepios, HSH gambling or the 10 mn Euro advertising campain for the green capital etc. Neumann concludes these costs alone amount to 5,73 bn Euros!
Not the citizens of the city, the CDU party lived as if there´s no tomorrow!
The time for a transparent and believable cash check of Hamburgs senate and financial authorities is overdue!
Peter Tschentscher added that CDU and Greens spending rage on full throttle drove the city against the wall.
He mentioned the bn Euro HHLA money (half of which was used for Hapag Lloyd although it was proposed for the port investments) that Freytag burnt for his unsolid household and that the threesome of Peiner, Freytag and von Beust sold the citys entire fortune!
He also criticized the secret contract between the senate and an ailing investor to aquire millions of taxpayer Euros for the Übersee Zentrum. This was only meant to fog the misadventures of the Hafencity building politics!

The Senates Nonnenmacher

Wednesday June 2nd, Hamburg Parliament Session
Voting by name 61 citizens of the CDU and Grüne partys of Hamburgs Parliament decided to keep new financial senator Carsten Frigge in the business of tending to the no longer existing fortune of Hamburgs taxpayers despite massive allegations and house searches due to his envolvement with a CDU party financing scandal from North Rhine-Westphalia! The Greens member of Parliament Andreas Waldowski (HSH parliamentary investigation committee, Sub committee for capital and public enterprises) was the only one to retain his vote.
The decision to burden the 1,7 million citizens of Hamburg with the third dubious financial senator in a row was massively criticized by the opposition!
The problem is not, as in the case of Nonnenmacher, about the question of guilt, but about the fact of how much trust can still be given to Hamburgs politics if everybody with the power to move billions of taxpayer Euros is under some kind of criminal investigation!

This comes just a few days after the mayor and his newly appointed close friend Frigge admitted to the public that the city will have yearly income deficits of at least one and a half Elbphilharmonies in the coming years!

In view of Hamburgs cash position the somewhat stressed mayor Ole von Beust is at the moment visiting China, in Shanghai he will advertise the astounding assumption of several EU politicians, that if the green partys back conservative politics virtual green capitals arise.
Representing the newly appointed green capital Hamburg seems a lot easier than getting your account settled.
